THE CITY FOLK CLUB'S OXJAM NIGHT
"Make Music - Raise Money - End Poverty"
October the 5th 2007 was the special City Folk Club night we put together, connected to the OXJAM Music Festival. This festival is OXFAM’s initiative, in its second year, to Make Music – Raise Money – End Poverty.
What a magnificent achievement!! The twenty-five-or-so souls who gave so very generously raised an astounding £210 on the night. Over the next few weeks, strenuous efforts were made to include the sponsored requests that there wasn't time for on the 5th, so the final total (which includes a donation from club funds - thanks to Treasurer Colin) is:
TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS
Congratulations and thanks to all involved, for raising FIVE times the estimate.
