DIRECTIONS
By public transport:
Railway station is 'Chichester'; the bus station is nearby. From either, it's possible to walk: it's less than three-quarters of a mile (about 1.4km). Go north, up Southgate, turn right into Market Avenue, (which becomes Market Road); just after the Pelican crossing, turn right into Caledonian Road; go straight ahead where Lyndhurst Road joins on the right; at the T-junction, the Hall is opposite, to the right. Bus company Stagecoach say "55, 56, 51, 700 all serve the Chichester Market Stops, and that 51 additionally serves the bus stops in Whyke Road [note Whyke Road, NOT Whyke Lane]. Please note however that there is no evening service on route 56, and only a limited evening service on some of the others (e.g. not a lot on the 700 after 9pm), therefore your members may need to watch their "going home" times." The in-(north-)bound 51 will stop in Whyke Road just north of the junction with Cambrai Avenue. Timetables are available at Stagecoach timetables
By car:
From the East, South and West: from the A27, take either the B2144 Oving Road (i.e. west at the traffic lights) or the A259 Bognor Road from the Bognor roundabout - both bring you into The Hornet, fork left into Market Road and left (50m) to enter the Cattle Market Car Park; park near the opposite side from the entrance. There is a walk-through into the top of Whyke Lane: turn right and walk one-third of a mile (350m), the Hall is on the left, nearly opposite Caledonian Road. (Please note that Whyke Lane about 1/4 m (400m) south of the Hall is divided by the railway line, and there is no vehicular access from the part of Whyke Lane which joins Kingsham Avenue. Please use the route we have given: it's easier, the plentiful parking in the Cattle Market car park is currently free in the evening, and in practice there's no parking nearer the Hall).
